About the AAUW
AAUW is proud to be at the forefront of empowering and inspiring women and girls in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Through hands-on educational programming, generous endowed fellowships and grants, innovative research, and meaningful advocacy, we have helped many women — from physicist Marie Curie to astronauts Judith Resnik and Mae Jemison — unleash their potential and achieve great things.
Sparking STEM Interest in the Young: AAUW’s National Tech Trek Program
Tech Trek is a weeklong summer camp held on college campuses for girls entering the eighth grade. At Tech Trek, campers learn how STEM fields solve the world’s biggest problems and discover careers that align with their passions. When girls are empowered to fight stereotypes and follow their dreams, they pursue STEM in high school, college, and beyond.
